Heads up: I'm sharing a heavy story at the start of this one (how my two-year-old ended up in the hospital with complications from RSV before Christmas). Her care teams were amazing, she's doing great, and never have I ever been so thankful for oxygen. I'll never take a pulse-ox reading for granted again. Sharing here 1) as a PSA because I was not familiar with the physical signs of respiratory distress and the resource linked below can help if you aren't either, and 2) in hopes that the clarity this intense experienced sparked for my own mind and creative process will spark something useful for you too. The main takeaway Qs: How can you make the most of margin when you have it so that even when you DON'T you can still feel expressed, connected, of service, inspired, and well compensated even when life throws you a curveball? What assets, systems, practices, and support can you put in place NOW to make life simpler when big events (opportunities, not just emergencies) require your full focus and attention?
