Some information regarding some of the URL parameters that can be added to Plink links for different and specific functionality:
- Why can't I find a Plink link for my podcast?
Plink automatically creates smart links for every podcast in existence (over 4.0M as of mid 2021). If you're unable to find your show in the search on our homepage or on the simplified /smart-links/ search page, then we haven't receive information about your show from data providers. Has your podcast been submitted (and approved) by Apple Podcasts? A common discrepancy is that a brand new podcasts not yet been approved in Apple Podcasts may not show up in Plink.
Waiting on approval from your Apple submission? Though we can't help nudge Apple's human-verified approval process along, you can still subscribe to a custom-branded Pro Plink link so you're then ready to start sharing Plink universal links when your show goes live in apps!

To link directly to a show in Apple Podcasts (mobile, tablets, smart watches, and desktop), append?to=applepod
to the end of any Plink link. This is where Plink smart links send iOS users automatically. Note, this will override Plink's device-detecting smart linking functionality, sending users directly to Apple Podcasts instead. This is helpful in the case of Apple-only podcast exclusives. To link directly to a show in Google Podcasts (mobile, tablets, watches, and desktop), append?to=googlepod
to the end of any Plink link. This is where Plink smart links sends Android users automatically. Note, this will override Plink's device-detecting smart linking functionality, sending users directly to Google Podcasts instead. Again, this is helpful in the case of Google-only podcast exclusives. Example: plnk.to/MIB?to=googlepod - Why is Google Podcasts not showing my podcast?
Google sources information about your podcast via the web. Its bots crawl sites, looking for one 'link rel='alternate'' attribute on your podcast's homepage. Here are guidelines to follow to add to your site. Make sure the RSS feed matches exactly as Apple Podcasts and your host has it, including https:// vs http://, for example. Your feed that Plink programmatically discovers can be found at the bottom of your Plink Show Page.
Does yourattribute match this RSS feed? Having any discrepancies between these and in link attributes, even one missed character, can break things.
Note: Your podcast's "homepage" (as described in Google's requirements) may be your website, a page your hosting company has created, or somewhere else. Check your RSS feed's own link attribute to find out. If you're looking, Plink is happy to be our customer's main homepage and can add correct link attributes in the code.
Know that Plink supports many sharing use-cases, platforms, and devices including some you may not have even expected. Plink is here to promote your show the smartest way possible, so share/embed/doc those links!
