Did Investigators Fail Sandra Birchmore and Ken Urker the Same Way?
Sandra Birchmore's DNA was collected and never tested by the investigators who closed her case as self-inflicted. Ken Urker's home was entered by Gypsy Rose Blanchard's half-brother before deputies arrived, and the cause of death remains pending. In leaked prison recordings, Gypsy reportedly told a former partner she hoped Ken would overdose. In Birchmore's case, witnesses who reported threats by Farwell were never followed up on.
