Barry Morphew’s Murder Case Was Rebuilt After WHAT Was Found in Suzanne’s Bones
Barry Morphew’s murder case was dismissed in April 2022 — the prosecution’s tranquilizer theory had no body, no confirmed drugs, and no cause of death. Then investigators found Suzanne. CBI agents recovered remains in Saguache County on September 22, 2023. Dental records and DNA confirmed the identification. Bone testing found butorphanol, azaperone, and medetomidine — three compounds that form BAM, a wildlife immobilizer for sedating large animals. The medical examiner ruled homicide. The original case had theorized this exact drug based on a dart gun and a needle cap at the Morphew property. Now the chemicals were confirmed in Suzanne’s remains. Barry’s access to BAM came through his Indiana deer operation. His last prescription was filled March 2018. He told investigators he’d used BAM in Colorado in April 2020 — one month before Suzanne vanished. In the same interviews, he denied it. No other private purchaser in the surveyed region was identified between 2017 and 2020. Listen Anywhere You Get Podcasts: https://pod.link/1655749292Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video?
