Lindsay Clancy’s Prosecutor Went After WHO In Court?
The prosecution rested its case against Lindsay Clancy after fourteen days and more than seventy witnesses at Plymouth Superior Court. During those three weeks, the Plymouth County DA’s office directed some of its sharpest cross-examination at Lindsay’s own family members. The prosecutor asked Lindsay’s former mother-in-law whether she was aware that murder is a mortal sin in the Catholic faith. The judge struck the question. The prosecutor asked Lindsay’s mother why she never had her daughter committed after Lindsay disclosed intrusive thoughts about harming the children. The prosecution floated a theory that a defense psychologist coached Lindsay to claim she heard command voices — the investigator on the stand acknowledged no evidence supported it.Opening statements described Lindsay as “controlling, meticulous, and manipulative” and accused her of faking the suicide attempt that left her paralyzed. The prosecution’s own treating psychiatrist saw Lindsay fourteen times without meeting her in person.Eric Faddis, defense attorney and former prosecutor, evaluates whether the prosecution’s tactics are costing them credibility with the jury.
