Starmer v Trump: Can the PM pull it off?
It’s been billed as one of the most important meetings between a British prime minister and a US president in decades. But Keir Starmer and Donald Trump - the strait-laced Leftie lawyer and the maverick, mouthy businessman - almost couldn’t be more different. As he arrives in Washington, Kamal and Camilla set out which cards the PM has in his deck - not least finally setting out a plan to reach 2.5% of GDP on defence - and ask if he has the political skill to play them.
