NEW YORK WEEK GUEST: Kami Kenna, Piscologia + The Pisco Society Kami Kenna is a woman who makes the most of each and every opportunity she is presented. As a bartender in Portland, she won a competition that set the tone for the rest of her career (so far). With a love for Latin America, Kami has spent many years in Mexico and Peru discovering the distilling world and has been cultivating meaningful partnerships to bring her knowledge and experience to the rest of us. We sat together in a castle turret at Kings County Distillery in NY. The distillery is New York City’s oldest, largest, and premier whiskey distillery, the first since prohibition. While tasting bourbon and moonshine, Kami was giving me the scoop on all things Pisco and Agave in her world and inspiring me to one day follow her lead and let the Latin American winds take me away.
