Below Deck Down Under Season 4 Episode 16 | The Stripe Snatch and the Tale of the Tableside Trap

The Caribbean waters of Canouan just hosted a category-five crew implosion, and the snark squad is unpacking a Season 4, Episode 16—titled "A Stew Loses a Stripe"—that proves double-dipping in the crew mess love pool will eventually leave you drowning. The mid-May 2026 drama saw second stew Jenna Woudberg hit full-blown self-destruct mode. Threatened by the arrival of new stew Barbie Pascual, Jenna tried to claw back deckhand Eddy Hounsell with a late-night "I miss you" text, completely forgetting she was currently sharing a blanket with Chef Ben Robinson. When Eddy exposed the receipts to Ben, a nuclear chain reaction exploded across the yacht. Jenna went on an alcohol-fueled rampage—screaming at Eddy, climbing over furniture, and locking Daisy out of her cabin. The next morning, Captain Jason stepped in as the ultimate stern father figure, stripping a weeping Jenna of her second stew epaulet. We’re asking: did Captain Jason make the right leadership call to save crew morale, or is the internet entirely right to blast him for a sexist double standard since Ben and Eddy walked away from the wreckage completely unpunished? The real operational nightmare, however, drifted straight into the galley. Still reeling from the cabin drama, Chef Ben chose absolute chaos during a high-stakes dinner service for the Backyard Envy charter guests. Ben unilaterally demanded that Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher fillet eight fish tableside—a task completely outside her interior jurisdiction. Despite Daisy’s exhausting protests, Ben forced the issue, resulting in a clunky, deeply uncomfortable tableside disaster that left Captain Jason far from impressed. While João Franco and Daisy managed to salvage the night by sneaking away for a genuinely sweet, long-awaited boatmance date, the rest of the ship is entirely divided. Between Ellie immediately trying to claim Jenna's vacated second-stew rank, Betul reminding Eddy that karma is a b*tch, and Ben running to the bridge to control the narrative, the Northern Sun has officially run entirely aground.
