Consumed

When struggling journalist Sarah Simmons finds herself stranded in an idyllic New Hampshire town, her unexpected visit turns into a nightmare. Steeped in history and filled with legends, the residents of Danville soon learn that the past is not always meant to be forgotten. Their lives will be forever changed, while the hope of a future without terror rests on the shoulders of a stranger who may hold the keys to the past. This is Consumed, a brand new story set in the same universe as the award-winning hit fiction podcast, Bridgewater.
Better than Bridgewater

Personally thought this was much better than Bridgewater. The voice acting was better and the editing tighter, which made conversations sound more realistic. Better sound design and better (less melodramatic) plot.
Amazing immersive story experience!

I am not sure why this podcast has such bad ratings, probably a bunch of mad conservatives, but i personally thought this podcast was amazing! i plowed through it in an entire day and i do love the characters, the dynamic, the creepiness! I’ve personally never listened to the other podcast everyone is comparing it to but on its own i’d say this is a very solid podcast and I would even listen to it again! very unique and well done. don’t let these other reviews turn you off to an amazing story!
Lefty garbage

Bridgewater was way better. This is just garbage written by a bunch of lefties. No thanks not for me.
Insufferable characters
Jan 31
I tried this because I enjoyed Bridgewater, and assumed it would be of similar quality. Nope. The main character is a self-absorbed, neurotic, self-righteous caricature of an ultra-left manic-depressive Gen Z’er. I began to wonder if the title “Consumed” referred to a creature eating people, or if it alluded to the main character’s narcissism. In fact, I began to root for the creature just to eviscerate her and end my suffering. I believe I threw up in my mouth more than once listening to the contrived cuteness of the “flirting” between the librarian and main character. I lay awake at night wondering why I listened to so much of it. Hours I will never reclaim, I’m afraid. Perhaps the story line was sufficient to keep me coming back. I can’t explain it. This is the true mystery behind the series.
