Malcolm Pearson, started his career in the City where he founded an insurance broking business at the age of 22, of which he remains Chairman. Known for his staunchly euro-sceptic views, he defected from the Conservative Party to join UKIP in 2007, going on to become its Leader in 2009 (for a brief 9 months).
