She focuses on researching, developing and advocating for effective policy changes related to reducing racial disparities in the criminal justice system. Later in the show, we’ll chat with Dhoruba bin Wahad, an American political activist and author, former leader of the New York Black Panther Party, and co-founder of the Black Liberation Army. He was one of the Panther 21 defendants charged in 1969 with conspiracy to attack New York City police stations.
