S3Ep103: Now You Can Grab a Morning-After Pill at 7-Eleven Along with Your Slurpee with Samantha Miller, MSc, MBA, Co-founder & CEO of Cadence OTC

Why is it easier to buy a pack of cigarettes than a morning-after pill? That’s the reality for 23 million women in rural areas without easy access to emergency contraception. But that's changing thanks to Samantha Miller, the co-founder and CEO of Cadence OTC. They’re putting the power back where it belongs—in women’s hands—by making emergency contraception available at convenience stores nationwide at half the price of Plan B. This isn’t just about reproductive rights; it’s about freedom, equity, and common sense healthcare. The fact that it’s taken years of relentless effort to make something so essential accessible is proof of how broken the system is. But Samantha and her team aren’t waiting for permission—they’re rewriting the rules and making history. In this episode, you’ll learn: How Cadence OTC is rewriting the rules on birth control by tearing down regulatory and political barriers to make contraception affordable and over-the-counter for all. Why sharing the difference between the morning-after pill and the abortion pill is the first step in making emergency contraception more accessible. How you can help expand access to emergency contraception by sharing the truth about the morning-after pill and the abortion pill. Why getting birth control over the counter is about advocacy finally breaking down outdated barriers, not money or politics. How insurance companies have the power to prevent unintended pregnancies and reduce healthcare costs but aren’t stepping up.
