Build A Thriving Business With A Chronic Illness with Leanne Webber

Did you know that Endometriosis affects up to 10% of the female population. At least one in 9 girls and women in Australia experience Endometriosis which is a chronic disease associated with severe, life-impacting pain during periods, sexual intercourse, bowel movements and/or urination, chronic pelvic pain, abdominal bloating, nausea, fatigue, and sometimes depression, anxiety and infertility. With those statistics, it is likely someone you know and love is suffering in silence with this chronic illness. In this episode we speak to a good friend of Elisha’s, Leanne Webber, who is the CEO and Business Mentor of The Founders Team which is an Australian-wide community for founders wanting to overcome challenges, brainstorm ideas, celebrate wins, achieve goals and grow their business. Leanne sits down with us to explain what is like to have a successful and thriving career whilst balancing a chronic illness as well.  Things We Mention -  Coping strategies to manage flare ups and prevent burn out. The importance of a good support network when a flare up is present.  The darker side - the mental health challenges that come into play when experiencing severe chronic pain. PLUS, Leanne has some beautiful advice for those of you who want to know how to support someone you know who may be suffering from chronic illness, like Endometriosis.
