The Failing Writers Podcast is still failing along and thank goodness. Episode after episode of conversation on craft, interviews with lesser failures than themselves, and a bit of wit, make this one a nice addition to one’s day. Their friendly banter and sense of humor, not to mention sick beats (as my daughter jokes when they play one of there original tunes) make this podcast one of the most endearing components of my listening routine, and certainly my writing process. But I don’t think they’re just for writers. If you like good storytelling, whether you’re doing the listening or the spinning, you’ll like The Failing Writers. They’re great! -AC

I entered the flash fiction challenge on the recommendation of a friend and was duped into listening to the episode (at 1.25 speed) to get the prompt and phrase. In truth, I had to listen to it twice because I became so engaged with the podcast that I forgot to note the phrase. Since then, I’ve listened to every episode (not in order, of course…why would I do that?) and have thoroughly enjoyed the banter, the interviews, the three-chapter submissions as dramatizations, throwing out ideas and excuses about not writing. I now write with semi-regular(ish) fervor accompanied by a glass of amethyst-infused wine and can confirm to Jon, Tom, and Dave, that a leg cramp is called a Charley Horse in the United States. Listen to the podcast if you want to know what I’m talking about. It's easier than writing.
