Throughout the conversation they explore recent political events in Uganda, Kampala’s music scene and the challenges that are faced when running the LGBTQ+ friendly Nyege Nyege Festival. Kampire also discusses creating safe spaces for women in Kampala’s music scene, gives tips on getting started as a DJ and mobility for African artists and talks about the spirit of support that’s shared amongst fellow female DJs.
