When Ariarne Titmus announced her retirement a few weeks ago, the news dominated headlines across Australia. At 25, the world champion has called time on a swimming career that led her to a world record she still holds to this day and 33 international medals, eight of them from the Olympics (four golds, three silvers and one bronze).
