Sjef van Beers interviews Sjoerd Mol
Sjoerd graduates from Design Art Technology with Digital Specimens (2016 - ongoing), an installation that contains 83 of the most diverse sedimentary, igneous and metamorphic rocks. Every rock, or ‘asset’ as digital artists call them, is embedded within one physical object, emphasising the uniqueness of a specimen that was translated from the physical to the digital realm. Sjef is an artist who, in his work, interprets online culture and dismantles digital interfaces. He is one of the co-founders of Syntax.
