The Missing Podcast travels to North America - and in this first episode we tell the story of the baffling and tragic disappearance of Elisa Roberson. Elisa was born in Nicaragua, but settled in Texas with her mother, in search of a better life. But her story comes to an end in August 1989, when she was aged just 13 - after she disappeared after setting off on a walk to meet a friend. Speculation has swirled ever since around exactly what happened. Fingers have pointed in multiple different directions. But the family and law enforcement feel they are no closer to getting the answers they crave. This episode hears from Elisa's younger sister Ruby. She reveals exactly what happened around the time Elisa vanished, and what's gone on in the decades since. She hopes that someone listening may be compelled to reach out to the authorities and end the families suffering. This episode is supported by Doe Network.
