Manchan Magan
My guest this week must be my most well-travelled guest so far. The renowned Irish adventurer, writer and documentary maker Manchan Magan. If every episode has a personality, then Manchan’s is pure joy and love for the remotest places and peoples on a planet. A planet that needs sustainable help. After over 30 years of unrivalled adventures to parts of the world unseen by most people, Manchan shared great travel tales about Africa, South American, Asia and the Middle East to name a few. Manchan also tells me about his decision in January last year to give up flying for holidays for ecological reasons and to help raise awareness about the harmful effects of carbon emissions from flying and how he intends to renew his love of slow travel especially by train. Fergal O’Keeffe is the host of Travel Podcast Travel Tales with Fergal which is a weekly interview series listened to in over 70 countries. He interviews a special guest about their travels, adventures and experiences living abroad. The guests all have inspirational stories that enable people to armchair travel in their imagination.
