Sherry shares her addiction to alcohol in her book Sober Cycle the true story of Sherry’s double life—her fight to escape alcoholism and its shame and secrecy while also trying to live in a way that honored Christ. Sober Cycle, written with a balance of honesty and humor, shares the many failed attempts Sherry tried to reach sobriety the hard way. Cycling thousands of miles while miserably hung over to being chased by everything from poodles to pit bulls, she soon discovered the road to freedom wasn’t on a bicycle. She discovered that faith-based recovery is essential to sobriety and now offers hope for others to recover one day at a time. In November 2013, she decided to put down her drink and pick up God's promises of a better life in sobriety.
