In today’s episode, Amanda drinks some Magner’s cider with actor, comedian Chelsea Larkin to discuss growing up as a twin, fatphobia in casting, and creating her solo show The Chels Stands Alone. Chelsea is an actress, comedian, writer and singer, and a staple in the Toronto comedy community. Some of her favourite credits recently include The Second City, Beerprov at Sea (MSC Cruises), and JFL42 New Faces: Characters. At the Toronto Fringe Festival this year, Chelsea debuted her solo show The Chels Stands Alone where she won both the Comedy Bar and Second City Award for Outstanding Comedy andTheatre Orangeville’s Best of Fringe, awarding her the opportunity to remount her show at Theatre Orangeville Summer Arts Festival. As she mentions in this episode, she plans to remount the show in Toronto this fall – so keep a look out and “be prepaaaaared”!
