What is IUI? History of IUI and Explanation of How IUI Works with guest Dr. Geoffrey Sher
Dr. Geoffrey Sher is back, and we are talking about Intrauterine Insemination, or IUI. In 1982, Dr. Sher and his colleagues were the first to wash sperm, and then put it through a centrifuge process. After an incubation period, they used a catheter to inject the sperm into the uterine cavity of a patient. He's a true pioneer, and this was the first time IUI had been done!. I know you will enjoy learning more about IUI from him. We're sharing about how IUI works, and why it's recommended for some patients.
