Best of the Left - Leftist Perspectives on Progressive Politics, News, Culture, Economics and Democracy

I have listened to this podcast for years. I always felt it gave me a fuller understanding of the issues. But these days I find Best of the Left an essential listen just to make sense of the times we are in

Each episode brings a variety of progressive perspectives (yes, there are different ones within the broad left). Expert curation drawing from a huge number of podcasts -- well known and more obscure.

They talk about conservatives not being able to grasp different variations or groups and that not everyone has to be processed in good or bad. Then proceed to classify all conservatives as bad which is hypocritical. I listen to podcasts on both sides because I honestly believe that truth is something that doesn’t exist within the political spectrum anymore so you need to be very open to intelligence gathering. I have noticed in all of my listening though and I find this to be quite intriguing is that leftist podcasts focus on certain individuals within the right (I.e. trump,musk, etc.) while rightist podcasts focus on policies and procedural changes that could affect society. The leftist side focuses on the policies as well but they don’t seem to go into much depth and without missing a chance to say something about an elected political figure of some sort. I’m going to keep doing my best to sift through and find meaningful podcasts that produce the truth of the situation. I’m not saying this podcast doesn’t tell the truth but it definitely seems to be from a close minded perspective.

They just don’t get it. This is awful. Just listen to CNN, etc. Nothing new here.
